Precision casting with the lost wax technique fulfil the rising requirements of the modern engineering. With this process prototyps and small-batch production models can be manufactured.

The continuos process chain from the idea to the product is defined by the casting technology.

The BECKMANN-INSTITUT für Technologieentwicklung e. V. use this technology primarily in the area of medical engineering for the manufacturing of implants made of titanium and in the field of precision- and micro-technology to make prototyps. Topics of research projects are for example special materials for casting moulds, demoulding of castings and the casting of plastic with high pressurisation.
